Pedro Abasolo — Hair and Makeup Artist

Pedro Abasolo is a world-class professional hair stylist, makeup artist and registered massage therapist. With over 15 years of experience, he has worked extensively in the entertainment business and private sector, servicing clientele from various parts of Latin America and the US. Pedro is widely regarded for his mastery of makeup application for television, print and weddings and is often sought out for makeup and hair consultation. Pedro specializes in premium styling and makeup for the most discerning celebrity clients.

He has worked with heads of state, TV and film stars, models, musicians and more.  When VIP clients visit Houston they trust no one, but Pedro, to provide their hair and make up services to look their best. Some of his clients include: Former Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright, Chayanne, Alejandro Fernandez, and Marc Anthony. He has collaborated with Evin Thayer Photography for print and applied makeup application, including local philanthropist Caroline Farb and Senator Lloyd Bentson. Clients include Houston socialites such as Judith Oudt, The Cordua Family, and Pedro Alvarez the George R. Brown Professor and chair of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Furthermore, his work as a makeup artist and hair stylist has been featured in 002 Magazine, in a variety of television programming and print advertisements. Pedro had the distinct honor of being chosen as the Former First Lady Laura Bush makeup artist during a visit to Houston. His experience in the entertainment industry has resulted in being named the Director of Hair and Make up for several productions such as The 9th Annual Latin Grammy Awards and Selena ¡VIVE! a tribute concert held in honor of the 10th Anniversary of the death of Latino performer Selena at Reliant Stadium. Pedro is the current hair and makeup artist for KXLN-TV Channel 45 and makeup artist for local theaters, fashion shows and international beauty contests.
